We have been exploring the world of merchandising today, concentrating our efforts around the club shop and the sponsors’ boards displayed around the pitch. We also drifted into a world of figurative language as we described what we could see, hear and smell around the ground. Kingsley’s Year Five teacher has clearly taught them well and it was a pleasure to witness their creativity in action.
We also played one and a half innings of cricket in the indoor nets - the Diamond Heads have 53 to beat tomorrow morning. It could have been far worse though if Hamaad had not caught Jonny just a she was begining to cut loose. To finish off in the afternoon we had a close look at the equipment and kit a cricketer has to wear.
